1 Committee organization and procedures

1.1 Membership and attendance
Self-introductions were made, attendance taken, and it was determined that a quorum was present.

1.2 Approval of the Agenda
The Committee unanimously accepted the Agenda as presented.

1.3 Approval of the Minutes
The Committee unanimously accepted the Minutes of the last meeting as written.

1.4 Correspondence
No correspondence was received.

ACTION ITEM -

1.5 Review of the Committee's scope
No review was needed.

1.6 Report of task groups and DSCC efforts
A DSCC report from G-11 working group, FSC 5950, was distributed to the attendees

2 Old business

2.1 Multilayer bead specification status
Copies of PN4315 was handed out to attendees for review and comments. Comments were received and marked. (C Jackson) will incorporate changes and send copy to (B Gisseler) within 30 days. (B Gisseler) will insure that all attendees receive a copy of PN4315 and ask for additional comments of revision to spec. All comments are to be received prior to the next meeting. (B Aronson) also stated that he would send a copy of ANSI J-002 to (B Gisseler)

2.1.1 Vote on acceptance of PN4315
(B Gisseler) states that the plan is to vote on PN4315 during October, 2000 meeting.

ACTION ITEMS:
-send copy of ANSI J-002 to B Gisseler
-Marked up copy of PN4315 to be sent to B Gisseler within 30 days of meeting
-All comments from attendees for PN4315 to be submitted before Octorber 2000 meeting
-Vote on acceptance of PN4315

2.2 Attachements from Previous meeting, October 1999.
(B Aronson) indicated that the attachements, if in electronic form, from the previous meeting, which were not attached with the minutes, would be sent out within 7 days from 04 April, 2000.

ACTION ITEMS:
-B Gisseler to insure attachements have been sent

2.3 Status of PN4233
(B Aronson) indicated that PN4233 did not appear to be a valid PN#. (B Aronson) to confirm status of legitimacy.

- B Aronson to report on status

2.4 Merging of Wirewound and multilayer inductor specs
Copy of original merged copy was unavailable. (B Aronson) to look for and send copy of previous merged spec, if he still has it, and send to (B Gisseler) and (B Friedman). (B Gisseler) and (B Friedman) to head up merging of wirewound and multilayer specs into one specification. (B Gisseler) to follow up with (B Aronson) to see if he can sned spec to (B Friedman) and (B Gisseler).

ACTION ITEMS:
-B Gisseler and B Friedman to have merged copy ready for review by October 2000 meeting

2.5 EIA/IS 759 & EIA/IS 760
(B Aronson) indicated that these specifications have previously been approved by committee

2.6 Minutes from 04 April, 2000 P-3 meeting
(B Gisseler) to follow up in June 2000 to insure minutes and attachements have been sent to attendees. The committee also stated that the minutes and attachments should be sent to attendees 30 days after meeting.

ACTION ITEMS:
-B Gisseler to insure minutes of meeting were sent within specified time frame

2.7 Submission of package sizes
(M Griffith) to resend electronic copy of part dimensions and land pattern dimensions to (B Aronson) and (B Gisseler) by 11 April 2000.

-(M Griffith) to send electronic copy to (B Aronson) and (B Gisseler)

2.8 HP/Agilent HP4287A test equipment and fixture 16196 A/B/C presentation
(J Bradshaw) presented information on new test equipement to insure high repeatability testing of 0201, 0402 and 0603 inductors

3.1 Inductor application guide
Discuss whether application guide should be started

4 Selection of next meetings
Mon-Wed., 2-4 October 2000, San Diego, California @ Wyndham Emerald Plaza

5 Adjournment
The Committee moved, seconded, and unanimously agreed to adjourn at12:30pm

6 Action items
-send copy of ANSI J-002 to B Gisseler
-Marked up copy of PN4315 to be sent to B Gisseler within 30 days of meeting
-All comments from attendees for PN4315 to be submitted before Octorber 2000 meeting
