Project was dropped due to inactivity by GEIA.

document.

2.3 Status of SP-2805-A (EIA-580A0AB)
Mr. Rice has to reply to the negative comment received on the last SP-balloting.
He stated that he would expedite a reply to allow the document to be
approved by EDEC.
3 New business
Mr. Hain reported that a standard specification for reliable SM film
capacitors is needed since current product fails soldering. IEC 384-series
on SM film capacitors might be a source for developing a suitable specitication.
segmented films
Perusal of the list of documents showed that the list clarity, lack
of information on the reaffirmation dates. It was requested that the
list be attached to the Minutes.
The issue of required separate national standards in Europe related
to inflammability was discussed. Manufacturers are required to pay for
national mark with no follow-up certification. It was requested that
information on eliminating this levy.
