JT-32
Committee's scope:
Activities and responsibilities within the jurisdiction of this committee
include:
- industry representation
and participation in determining the safety characteristics needed
for all electron tubes under cognizance of the EIA Tube Division;
- the establishment
and maintenance of close liaison, consistent with EIA procedures,
with foreign and domestic government agencies and other regulatory
agencies, as appropriate, on all safety matters pertaining to the
characteristics and use of electron tubes, and presenting coordinated
and consolidated electron tube industry comments and recommendations
as required;
- continuous monitoring
of Federal Standards and Regulations with regard to product safety
affecting electron tubes;
- maintenance of
liaison with other TEPAC tube committees likely to be affected by
regulatory agencies;
- maintenance of
liaison with other EIA product safety committees;
- maintenance of
liaison with other tube committees to ascertain what safety-related
characteristics needs investigation, analysis and specification.
