General Sessions

S-1 General Session- This meeting will be on Tuesday morning at 8:00 am. The session engages user issues such as material supplies availability, manufacturing/production-related issues, and industry-wide aspects of product distribution channels.

Awards Luncheon - The Tuesday lunch includes presentation of the prestigious ECA Engineering Award and a guest luncheon speaker. The luncheon speaker is to be announced shortly.

Tuesday Dinner - On Tuesday evening, all attendees and their guests are invited to a reception and dinner. Peers and colleagues can enjoy a social experience and also be enlightened with a keynote session. The dinner speaker is to be announced shortly.

Lunches and Dinner - All attendees are invited to attend these common functions and meet and greet their colleagues and peers. These functions are all included in the Full Summit Fee.

Engineering Summit Luncheon Speaker

Mark Crawford of the U.S. Department of Commerce will be the featured luncheon speaker at the Spring Engineering Summit on Tuesday, April 1st, 12:00 Noon – 1:30 pm. His presentation is entitled:

The Electronic Parts Industry: Resources To Tap at the Dept. of Commerce

Mark Crawford is a senior trade and industry analyst with the Office of Technology Evaluation at the Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of Commerce. He has performed assessments of domestic industrial capability critical to U.S. national security for eight years. Crawford also staffed U.S. Government reviews of acquisitions of domestic companies by foreign entities until late 2006. Prior to joining Commerce in 1999, Crawford worked as a reporter covering industrial, science, and technology issues. He has written extensively on economic competitiveness, energy, information technology, microelectronics, natural resource management, physics, and technology policy for: Business Week, Chemical Week, Chemical Engineering, Coal Age, Coal Week, Engineering New Record, Environment Week, Inside Energy, Metals Week, New Scientist, Science, The Energy Daily, and other publications.
