1) How do I become a member of ECA?

Membership is open to any corporation which manufactures products that fall within the scope of the Association. All such corporations must have a legal base of operations within the United States. Applications for membership are reviewed by the Board of Directors. Membership eligibility in the Association will comply with guidelines established by EIA. Dues are based on the value in US Dollars of all products that are manufactured and/or marketed in the United States, which fall within the scope of the Association. 2) What is the cost associated with becoming a member? Cost to maintain my membership?

Dues are paid annually for calendar year membership, and payment of dues constitutes membership in good standing. Members who join during the calendar year, pay one year's dues at the time of joining and receive a prorated discount for the next calendar year's dues. Dues are based on the value in US Dollars of all products that are manufactured and/or marketed in the United States, which fall within the scope of the Association. 3) How are ECA and EIA associated?

ECA is a sector of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA). Although ECA is independent, and represents the components side of the industry, it is united with EIA to form the premier high technology organization in the world. -top-

4) What are the benefits of becoming a member?

There are several benefits of becoming a member of ECA. To view the list of the benefits available, please view the Membership tab. -top-

5) What services do ECA/EIA provide?

ECA/EIA provides many services for their members such as ECA Standards & Technology,and Market Research. For a complete listing of the services provided, please view the Services option under Programs and Services. -top-

6) How do I include my company on the "Wherehouse" list?

Your company must be a member of ECA in order to be listed. If you would like to become a member, please register online. -top-

7) Are ECA publications available on the website? If so, where?

ECA Publications are available on the website. The complete list is available for purchase at our online store, MarketPlace. -top-

8) Are the publications available for purchase? If so, how much?

The Publications available on the website are available for purchase. The cost of each publication is located beneath the description of the publication. -top-

9) What are ECA's upcoming events? When? Where?

The information that relates to conferences or activities of ECA may be found on the Conference Center tab. -top-

10) How often is the "Latest News" section updated?

This section is updated daily to include the latest in industry news and technology, as well as, a momentary look at the stock market. -top-

11) Where can I find information regarding ECA's engineering department?

Information regarding the ECA Engineering department may be found in various places. However, most of the information is located in the main page for our engineering department. -top-

12) Where can I find a complete listing of manufacturers of certain components (ie. capacitors, connectors, etc)?

The listing is available in under the Wherehouse tab. The list order is arranged according to the category of the component. -top-

13) Am I able to research various markets of the component business?

The ECA website offers a wealth of information relating to the components industry. Trends/Analysis provides the user with market snapshots and reports for various components. This information is provided by different market groups, and may help the user to obtain the necessary information for the industry. -top-

14) Am I able to register online for various events held by ECA?

Most of the events allow for online registration. A link is provided for those events that accept online registration, if a link is not provided please feel free to request a registration form at 703.907.8024. -top-

15) Is there a complete listing of the members of ECA?

The complete listing is located under the Members tab. -top-

16) How may I contact ECA?

There is a contact list containing the names and numbers of anyone with whom you would need to contact in the ECA department. -top-
